Cyber Security Behaviours Campaign
The Cyber Security Behaviours campaign has been developed to help explain unfamiliar cyber terminology or jargon and provide information to help you protect yourself at work and at home.
Good security is key to ensuring government organisations can continue to deliver vital services to our customers. Security professionals across government work hard to protect our people, premises, and data but we all have a role to play. We understand that unless you work within the security profession, it is unlikely that security will be your primary focus and with the pressures of everyday life, mistakes can be made. It is vital that you are aware of your local security reporting procedures, so that when things do go wrong, incidents can be reported promptly. This not only allows security professionals to respond quickly to address the immediate concern, but it can also ensure that steps are put in place to help your colleagues avoid similar issues.
Security can seem a little daunting at times, and often involves the use of unfamiliar terminology or jargon, which may impact your understanding in helping to spot a security incident in the first place. The Cyber Security Behaviours campaign has been developed to help breakdown some of these terms to aid your understanding, while providing you with the necessary information to help protect yourself at work and at home.
The campaign is made up of an introductory overview video supported by 6 shorter videos with accompanying factsheets.
The fact sheets support the National Cyber Security Centres Cyber Aware which provides advice to UK citizens on how to stay secure online.
