Share with care
In order for Government organisations to operate effectively, they need to share information. However, some information is sensitive and there can be serious consequences if it falls into the wrong hands.
We all have a role to play in protecting information and there are some simple steps you can take:
- Only share information that is needed and with those who need it
- Check for hidden data included in spreadsheets and other tables
- Check that you’re sending emails to the correct recipient
- Check the classification and handling instructions for any information you need to share
- If a breach happens, report it quickly
