Using AI Securely

As set out in the AI Playbook for the UK Government, all government AI technologies and services must be secure and resilient. They should comply with the Secure by Design principles and the government’s Cyber Security Standard.

Government AI Security Team

The Government AI Security team is a new team established in Government Digital Service (GDS) to provide a holistic view of security risks and threats related to the use of Artificial Intelligence. It is a team providing governance, advice and consultancy services as well as investigating technical solutions for the UK government.

Training and Events

As part of the Government’s acceleration of AI adoption, we are looking at ways to support upskilling civil servants to help lay the foundations for securing AI across government. We will aim to link to key strategic partners’ available training as well as investigate a variety of methods for bespoke training, including virtual, bite size, self learning and in-person events.
